This company will not improve, poor customer service and lack of communication. Worst experience ever, no call back, no email return, just crickets. They pay any given day and will not work with you. 1st call was: "I'm here to help you, whatever you need, let me know", which turned into: "screw you". I will not recommend this Insurance company, STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN .

The worst company I have ever dealt with.
Our claim is still unresolved four months in. Have been asked for the same information, by different members of staff.
All information supplied has with been lost or convenienty mislaid.
Have now informed my insurers I will have nothing more to do with this bunch of incompetent clowns and require my claim settled urgently.

Mar 20, 2023Absolute disgrace. 9 different case managers in 12 months. Skill sets of workers appalling with highest turn over of staff imaginable. All reviews are spot on and each experience you can relate to. This insurance company should be investigated and replaced by overseas call centre who would do 10 times better job. Be warned stay away from these guys.

Oct 5, 2023Lucky to get one star. In July 2023 I applied for compensation to East Lothian Council for replacement of a wrecked tyre and corrective wheel alignment damaged whilst driving near North Berwick. ELC must use this bunch to act on their behalf. First reply wasnt until over a month after the event followed by and OOO response. Nothing for another month. I submitted a series of photographs to back up my case, which were ignored and no compensation will be paid. Lost £178. Useless company!

May 14, 2024Absolutely furious with the company from day one! Never answer phone calls or emails. Waited nearly a year and still no claim finalised. In 10 months I think the company answered 3 phone calls all together. And a few returned emails. Went through the council to get hold of GB which were meant to deal with the case on their behalf. Very rude people. I am not surprised they have so many awful reviews! I honestly don't know how the company are still running. I will never deal with these again! Please be very vigilant of using Gallagher Bassett.

Mar 18, 2024Would not recommend at all. I purchased travel insurance through HOLIDAY EXTRAS and had to make a claim through the insurance company they work with, GALLAGHER BASSETT, for missing my flight. I was dealing with someone called Nathan Ray. I sent over all of my documents to support my claim, they approved the claim and then months later came back to say it has actually been rejected. I had to chase them constantly, I wish I checked the reviews first. Staff very unprofessional. Lesson learned and went elsewhere, AllClear are fantastic!

Avanti Travel Insurance use them so my advice is don’t use Avanti Travel Insurance!
Took two months to recover under £100. I constantly emailed them, I also emailed Avanti Travel Insurance parent company TICORP based in Ocean Village, Gibraltar. My next email will be to BBC WATCHDOG as this claim management company needs exposing because they fail to act in the interests of their clients. Absolutely disgraceful service and they use every delay tactic possible, requesting documents they already have and moving the goalposts.

Jan 16, 2024Very keen to sell policies, but evasive when it comes to paying out. They ask for banking details by phone, but they contrive to make it impossible to get through by declining to provde the staff they need to respond. Sending digital details securely is so easy - but this suspicious company won't do that. We may do an item on the BBC about all this.

Dreadful experience of still trying to claim a cancellation of holiday due to Covid. Have Covid cover on gold sainsburys policy. With guess what covid cover! But apparently we didn’t get the Covid upgrade, I believe she meant enhanced. But that is if the FCDO put out a warning not to visit a particular country. If you haven’t got high blood pressure on your medical policy, you will after dealing with these companies!

Mar 11, 2024Scum of the earth. We were robbed of over $252,000 worth of items at a Hilton Doubletree in Denver/Westminster and lost everything. They did nothing, claiming there was no negligence. If ALL broken parking lot lights, no video surveillance and security guards (promises online that there were both), and lies to police aren't negligence, I don't know what is. Amanda, who's been working as a claim specialist and for Gallagher Bassett Insurance thirty years (not sure if all the time was with them, but you get the gist), is excellent at her job in helping her clients worm out of any and all responsibility. I've never seen anything like it. I've been battling them for months and have seen the results: nothing.

I have just told able to travel I will not be renewing my annual insurance because the use Gallagher Bassett.
After Ryanair cancelled our flight due to a damaged runway in Ibiza we were forced to stay another 3 days until the next available flight.
GB have decided that we cannot claim! Whats the point of insurance!

Absolutely horrendous customer service.
Been almost 3 months now that my claim is has been unresolved.
Constant emailing chasing, to no responses, only when I mention legal action they 'acknowledge' my numerous previous emails, with no full response.
Calling is no help either, get passed from pillar to post if you even get through to anyone on the phone.
Have asked more than once now for the complaints procedure, to no avail.
Judging by the other reviews too, I have no idea how this company are still standing.

No reply to emails, found a contact number that’s essentially unavailable.
Disappointed Sainsburys Bank use this company as I thought I was getting travel insurance from a reputable company. Turns out this lot handles the claims. Great, I’ve lodged a complaint today and next steps will be CEO and FCA. I will also be lodging a complaint with Sainsburys Bank, I shop/get travel money/ regularly use nectar and I never expected this experience.

This initially started with Insure&Go then passed onto Zurich insurance now Gallagher Bassett company! After reading all these reviews I am terrified with what may come next if anything. Feb 24, 2023It's a shame that this system makes you give this company one star ( should be zero). The problem is that firms like Compass use them to settle ACC claims and as they have no regard for the ACC act 2001 if you sustain a work related injury whilst in the employment of Compass you stand next to no chance of getting paid out. They don't return calls, don't reply to emails and go completely against the spirit of what ACC was intended for. If there was still investigative journalism in this country firms like this would have left these shores years ago.

Very disappointing with attitude, have no choice but to report to financial ombudsman as vehicle written off and disposed to salvage agency and i am still paying car instalments for a car that i no longer have. Very poor service

You were provided with crystal clear dash cam footage of a claim on the 5th July, yet your dishonest, partially sighted representative claims not to to see or hear anything on the video.
5 weeks of me chasing to get an initial response from you now back to no communication.
Absolute disgusting.

Slow response to updates to third party who work along side them for example local independent who’s done the assessment and are waiting for approval.
The lack of empathy and understanding of how certain insurance work.
This was also a none fault claim that they have made a shambles. Would never recommend.

Sadly my father died whilst we were on the holiday of a life time. I submitted a claim with all the required documentation - got an email saying received a month ago and have not heard anything since. Also no response to emails. When you do get through they just say its in an escalation process
